GOAL:
Nicholson Construction wanted to replace an older, smaller barge.

Designed and built a 15 feet wide by 38 feet long barge

Features included:

• a hydraulic gate
• 4 separate compartments
• Each compartment was plumbed with a separate pump out system
• Complete wheel house
• Equipped with a 150 Yamaha outboard motor attached to a hydraulically operated jack plate

Benefits include:

• Separate pump out system is a fail safe for any minor or major leak that might occur
• No winterization required – motor can be lift up and the barge can be left in the water during the winter months.
